Everyone who ventures this far west of the Ecuadorian coastline shares the same view: if the entire planet was once brimming with this much wildlife, perhaps it would have been better if man had never evolved. The Galapagos Islands are about as close to ‘heaven on earth’ as you will ever get. Whilst some of the volcanic islands are barren and others lusciously verdant, they all have one thing in common: they are all home to the some of the most enigmatic, unique and mesmerizing wildlife on earth.

From the famed giant tortoises to the comical cormorants, vibrantly coloured Sally Lightfoot crabs and ever enticing blue footed boobies, the sheer concentration of wild yet totally unafraid animals here is second to none. Want to sit on a splendid secluded beach and have your little toe suckled on by a baby seal? Then this is where you must come.
