It might surprise you to learn that Morocco is visited by over 10 million tourists each year, more than any other country on the African continent. With its close proximity to Europe, Morocco is easy to travel to, with cheap flights or a relatively short ferry journey from Spain. Morocco stretches from the Mediterranean in the north and transitions into “The Great Desert” the Sahara. An interesting mix of European and African culture, Moroccans speak a mix of Arabic, French, Berber and English.

Morocco is home to the Middle, High and Anti-Atlas mountain ranges, which make up the western portion of the larger Atlas Mountain Range, stretching 2,500km across Northern Africa. Morocco is perhaps most famous for its souks, medinas and tall towering mosques, all of which are exemplified in its busy bustling cities. Be sure to check out Marrakesh, Rabat, Chefchaouen and Essaouira to name but a few and try a tajine, a locally cooked Moroccan stew, perfect to savour while watching the sun set over your favourite Moroccan city.
